250 participants took part in the 6th National Youth Parliament running under a theme “Green Skilling For Youth towards change in sustainable wealth and understanding the challenge of Climate change .”

The event took place on Friday 11th August, 2023 at the parliament of Uganda’s Chambers and attracted all youth representatives from various bodies all over the country, members from Non-government Organizations (NGOs), village youth council society and Uganda National Students association.
Since 2018, this event has been a safe space for youth leaders across Uganda to discuss sensitive issues concerning the development of the country.

Phiona Nyamutoro the National female youth representative said that “It’s a civic space that’s an initiative of expanding impactful participation of young people across the country in governance and democratic processes.”
This year, the topics on the agenda are emphasizing skilling of youth and climate change.
The event was proudly sponsored by Faraja Africa Foundation headed by Emmanuel Wabwire . FAF is a non government organization geared towards providing social justice to youth in communities from different regions. Emmanuel appreciated the speaker of the parliament of Uganda Hon Anita Among for providing young people with a conducive environment “ the parliament ” to exchange ideas.
