Diamond Platinumz was performing in the country’s capital for the fourth time and second at Kololo Ceremonial grounds for Comedy store. Diamond Platinumz is one of Africa’s music dynamites who rose to scenes after his hit Number One, he hails from Tanzania and a household name.
For a while now , there’s been a comparison fueled by the media and fans. Who of the two music dynamites is the king of the East African den? Diamond Platinumz after recording so many hits including collaborations with international acts like Rick Ross, Morgan Heritage, NeYo among others. The Wasafi boss whose record label owns a Television and radio stations in Tanzania is a force to reckon with Bringing through artists like Harmonize, Ravyvanny , Mbosso and Zuchu , Diamond Platinumz got many comparing the magnitude of both artists sparking the East African greatest of all time when it comes to music. Both artists in several interviews have preferred not to respond to the question.

On his show organized by veteran comedian Alex Muhangi(CEO) of comedy store, Diamond Platinumz shocked the audience when he made the wowing comments about the Leonisland boss and he further asked the DJ to play him Mamia Jose Chameleon’s biggest Platinum hit of all time.

This gesture and statement by Diamond, further explains the impact of Joseph “Chameleon” Mayanja to East Africa’s music landscape but more importantly it shows respect , gratitude and maturity from Diamond to Jose and a way to go for many creatives and lesson for all of us to pass on flowers, respect and love to people while alive, its not a belittling gesture but rather an open expression of gratitude.
