A prayer that all parents recite for their Children in the entirety of life because a parent’s treasure is seeing their children well. Likewise Prossy and Gerald Mayanja parents to Uganda’s music prolific, bar and yardstick for all musicians not only in Uganda but across Africa as a continent, have always prayed and are joined by so many well wishers, fidus achates , accomplices, fans and music enthusiasts in Uganda and across the world to appeal and beseech the Almighty Lord to warrant Joseph Mayanja alias Jose Chameleon and his brother Humphrey Mayanja to get back strong from illnesses they are battling .
Humphrey ,Chameleon’s elder brother, former manager and diaspora booking agent for the music ace was the first to be operated after what happened to be a stomach complication that turned into an emergency. Humphrey had a successful surgery and he is undergoing recovery and observation by w another Mayanja brother to attend his first son’s graduation Aba Marcus Mayanja and also spend time with family and also do his music tours .
According to the music doyen’s father Gerald Mayanja ,Chameleon left Uganda with a few complications that? he attached to the stomach which seemed minor at inception, MaMia platinum hit maker arrived safe in the USA where he did videos with his son wishing his other brother Pallaso a successful concert and affirming why he was not attending the King of the East’s show.
At the moment, Ugandans were calm that the legendary hit maker is in USA as often safe and sound and would be back to Kampala soon after doing his tours and spending time with family. Thy no premonition of the dark cloud that has stormed the multi award winning artist’s life.
The whole incident happened in Sky rocketed speed according to producer Bushington in an interview with NBS TV , analyzing the BET aftermath, the Coco studio producer said among some of the artists he invited to the event was Uganda’s arguably greatest of all time musician Jose Chameleon who was already in the US but he confirmed that Jose didn’t attend because he missed his flight from Jamaica to US.
Gravity Omutujju as he identifies musically full initials Wabuyu Gerson, revealed to the many Ugandans that the legendary hit maker needed their prayers because he was critically ill, and was going through a hard time in life. The owepicha hit maker affirmed that he talked to Jose on a phone call and in their conversation they talked about many things about life and music.

Gravity said “I learned he was sick and gave him a courtesy call to find out how he was doing I greeted him , asked how he was doing apologized to him for my past wrong doings to him and he forgave me and told me these are earthly things.”
Gravity testifying that Jose is bedridden and was going to be operated and how he needs our prayers, he called upon all people to pray for Jose and decried how the industry wouldn’t bear it losing another one especially a foundation like Jose in such a manner.
In a phone interview , Mr. Gerald Mayanja father to Jose Chameleon told Bukedde that his son was going through adversity in his life like any other person falling sick. He confirmed that Joseph is receiving treatment and will recover with God’s grace in no time. Many artists have taken to their socials to wish a fore father to modern day music business in Uganda a quick recovery.
Tough times never last, but tough people do, the Mayanja family you will remain. We extend plea to lord for all going through challenging times to be restored.
