Dilemma in Masaza Cup Quarter finals

There was a dilemma in the Masaza Cup quarter finals in the second leg on Sunday 24th September 2023 where Kyadondo never turned up to play Buddu at Masaka Recreation grounds, claiming that they had two goals draw match at Homesdallen play ground in Gayaza Kyadondo, in the first leg but the referee denied Kyadondo it’s second goal in the dying minutes of the game, giving Simon Peter Mugerwa’s side(head coach for Buddu) a 2-1 goal lead and Buddu was given a walk over.

Buddu qualified for the semi finals and it’s has done it for four consecutive times. Despite the walk over, there were surprising and shocking results for some teams. Buwekula and SSingo who went as the table leaders with the unbeaten runs in the group stages were disqualified by the third runners up in the group stage.

George Masembe with his stunning strikes gave Bulemeezi the joy of life with a brace(2 goals) at Kasenyi play ground in Mubende despite their goal less draw at Kasana play ground. SSingo was also stormed by Gomba 0-1 in Mityana a goal for Kimera Kenneth after a 2-1 win for Gomba in the first leg. Buvuma was also beaten by Mawokota 1-0.
