“It’s emotional for people to think that the change you’re fighting for you know at some stage clearly
there’s gross and abraising of the gravity of this matter.” Comments of founding president of FDC Kizza

Besigye on the situation in FDC during a press conference he called this week to clarify on the 300million

The spark to the burning fire was lit on 17 July 2023 , when Hon.Ibrahim Ssemujju Nganda the party spokesperson and Vice President of the part in Buganda region, Lord Mayor of Kampala Salongo Erias Lukwago called for a national consultative meeting Which the party secretary general Nandala Mafabi and party President Patrick Amuriati did not attend.

In this meeting various leaders attacked the tyranny rule and mismanagement of resources at the party and the major names echoed in this meeting were Amuriati and Mafabi President and secretary general of the FDC respectively.

I want to congratulate Nandala and Amuriati after realising that among all the parliamentarians on FDC ticket Ssemujju Nganda has become a problem to them and therefore to get peace, they have to
demote Ssemujju from the FDC whip .

Amuriati told parliamentarians on the FDC ticket that Ssemujju talks alot and he makes the rest of you look non relevant , he was feeling bad about this (Amuriati)
and I can’t stop talking. Eversince Museveni invaded FDC there are matters that are going to happen it’s a matter of the calendar unfolding. Do you think Museveni enjoys when Ssemujju is on his neck raising matters that bother him, he must order his boys “Nandala and Amuriati “ help me, the man is
killing me and they will ask him how much are you offering and we get rid of him, that’s what happened in this whole scenario. I don’t feel bad that they have demoted me , my core role in
parliament is to represent the people of Kira and doing other duties has been burdening on my side.
Let me pray for them to have a blissful relationship with Museveni.”Comments of Ibrahim Ssemujju

Nganda the spokesperson of FDC
The comments follow a letter to parliament from the FDC secretary general Nandala Mafabi affirming that FDC have decided to demote Ssemujju from being the head of the FDC parliamentarians in parliament and replacing him with Mawokoota South legislator Yusuf Nsibambi who has accepted the position and vowed deligence to the party. Nsibambi affirmed that he was approached two days ago before considering the decision to accept the office.

After consulting key elders and stakeholders , he was advised to takeover the position. Nsibambi assured the press that he is going to ensure that the
team at Katonda road and Najjankumbui get along with each other.
The brigdes here continue to break and things are falling apart at Uganda’s biggest opposition party since 2000, were aren’t sure of when and who is going to restore sanity at the Najjankumbi based
political party and we continue to establish the facts and allegations in the FDC scramble and partition .
