When the budget was read, the roaring about this slash started in the corners of Youth leaders and has been desperately escalating until today, different district youth councils from across the country have joined their chair Jacob Eyeru to match their way to parliament to petition the speaker on this excessive silt to their budget. Police officers at parliament tried to stop Eyeru’s procession from accessing the parliament but he managed to engage the speaker and their petition was received by the speaker.

“ This budget can only pay wages of the staff and maintaining the National Youth Council.” These have been the comments of Eyeru on the budget allocated to them(NYC) . He added that they can’t do any of their mandated work with this money, yet they have a lot of Youth work that at times it’s above their shoulders without funding and can only be executed with the availability of funds.

Eyeru affirmed to parliament that they(NYC), aren’t demonstrating but rather seeking address to this slit from parliament and he echoed the potential of the speaker and how they have trust in her to bring this matter to standard.
