“First of all they need to change the way they are doing things , right now Ministry of Education is not fast number two they really need to go at an accurate speed and carry out a thorough verification , am not saying what they carried out was not , but what they carried out was after a long time of no verification at all . ” said Fagil Manday an education specialist

It is mandatory for teachers just like any public servant to retire at the age of 60 . Public schools face a crisis after these teachers retire since they don’t prepare enough for how to replace them thus leaving students at a loss given that the Ministry of Education and Sports takes long to recruit new teachers.

He added on saying the Ministry of Education and Sports need to move faster to avoid the crisis of having scarce teachers due to their retirement by getting teams down to public schools and get all teachers almost retiring verified. The last validation exercise carried out from November 2021 to April 2022 across all government aided secondary and Tertiary institutions indicated that there was a human resources crisis in majority institutions of learning
