In 2020 , the lower curriculum syllabus was upgraded by the National Curriculum Development Center
NCDC and approved by the Ministry of Education and Sports of Uganda . Directorate Of Industrial
Training(DIT) took on the initiative to train teachers about the new lower secondary school Curriculum, this curriculum was intended on a partial hands on skills provision as well as the normal theoretical study.

The teachers as well as students not forgetting the parents are all still digesting the curriculum but as well point out the many advantages it has come with, “our students will be able to land jobs easier than before besides most creating,by no doubt the new curriculum is far better than our(old) curriculum.” Said Mr Okoth D.O.S streams of wisdom secondary school ndejje. With reference to the old students of schools that have a similar education system such as light vocational school Bulenga the results of the system can’t be given a blind eye he added.

since it’s not just away of life but also nature’s rule to be tested the first batch of students is to be tested on what the syllabus required them to be knowledgeable about by now “We are testing the case item then we get feedback from learners , actually mock pretest later on final pretest to produce the final test.” said Jennifer Kalule the Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB) spokes person. A number of schools across the country are to take part of this research spearheaded by UNEB given that the first set of Students who took on the revised lower secondary curriculum are about to get tested by the end of 2023 moving on to S.4 to sit their final examinations. Activities if Integration are part of the students’ finals at UNEB and are forwarded by teachers , they carry 20% while the finals account for 80%
