The government of Uganda has been urged by Climate change activists to contribute accordingly in creating awareness about the effects of climate change through educational topics in schools especially in the formal curriculum that was implemented in 2020 in lower secondary schools.

Climate change activists as well front girls education in Uganda as key to a sustainable future. We are left with less than a decade to ensure Global warming does not go above 1.5° ,the campaign geared by Climate Clock started on July 22 at 7pm since then the clock is ticking , demanding leaders in the five continents to take action .

“My Climate clock co-lead, Sandra Aryl and I headlined a press conference earlier today ,where we brought together activists to address the press about the #Climate clock and why it’s an important reminder for government to #ActInTime. Climate Emergency.” Said Jonah kirabo an environmentalist and climate change activists

A number of environmental events have been organized especially those involving planting trees for example the green festival where children are encouraged to plant trees in their communities and schools as well as Green Futures Uganda Initiative found by Jonah Kirabo that advocates for a healthy planet through planting trees. The government has to go an extra mile and get involved in creating a change in Uganda’s climate before the five clock time elapses.
