THE MASAZA ARE BACK

By Moses Kalungi

Masaza cup defending champions Busiro worsted again by Ssese 2-1. While Bulemeezi, Kyandondo and Butambala also acquire their first win in this 19th edition.

After another loose in the season from Ssese now the defending champions Busiro keep butom of the group table standing and this means the that Kirya Ibrahim and Wassawa Godfery’s side are now out of the Quarter Finial positions and this is living their job as Busiro head coaches in trauma.
Just like in the first loose of the season, Busiro are always the first on the score sheet hence breaking the deadlock but after the lead in some little time, the opponents make great come backs and their victory is dethroned just like Mawokota did in the opener, they won Busiro 3:1 then Ssese 2:1.

On match day three, Busiro were the first to break the deadlock though Athuhairewe Robert in the 23rd min at Lutoboka playground Ssese and Busiro went in the driving seat and after 10mins in the second half Ssese got an equalizer through Ssegujja Martin in the 50th min and after 5mins, Ssese got a winning goal through Ssegujja again in the 55th min hence scoring a brace and also man of the match. Therefore Busiro has to win its last three matches in order to qualify for the quarters because 2 top teams from each group will qualify directly and 2 best losers [third place with most points] will join them to make 8 teams for the quarter finial knockout stage.
